We had a fantastic day today partnering with a charitable organisation called Pillars, which is a charity established for the children of prisoners. Pillars’ aim is to assist the children of prisoners in getting the support services needed to help prevent intergenerational offending and imprisonment. Children of prisoners need hope and guidance to grow up to be healthy adults and Pillars help provide that hope and guidance.
Unfortunately the South Auckland offices in which Pillars are located wasn’t large enough to hold training sessions for the fabulous mentors for the families of prisoners. That’s where TableSide came in. Pillars approached us to see if we could help remove a wall and we were more than happy to lend a hand.
